The list of panels and abstracts for the next conference of the Association for the Anthropology of Social Change and Development (APAD) is available. The conference will take place from May 27 to 29, 2026 at the Catholic University of Central Africa (UCAC) in Yaoundé, Cameroon. With the theme “Extractivism, resistance and alternatives in a globalized world”, it will address the issue of extractivism in its various forms.

Registration fees: 140 euros for senior researchers and 76 euros for PhD students
Given the current unfavorable international context, efforts to secure support from donors have not been successful so far. We encourage researchers to explore alternative funding options.
