On May 23, 2018, Professor Tania Li (University of Toronto) gave a lecture in Montpellier entitled “The Will to Improve: Governmentality, Development, and the Practice of Politics.” Organized by APAD and UMR GRED (IRD/Paul Valéry University), this lecture was an opportunity to revisit this major work by Tania Li, ten years after its publication. The French version of this book, Acting for others. Governmentality, development and the practice of politics (FR), was published by APAD and released by Karthala.
