Platform organising in India
Auteur(s) : Majumder Mrinmoy ;
This paper documents the emergence of trade unions in the context of platform work. Trade unions have become increasingly involved in addressing the challenges faced by platform workers. One key development is the expansion of trade union membership to include self-employed individuals, a move that has made trade unions more accessible to platform workers. In India, trade unions have also recognized the importance of representing the interests of workers.
